Our History

TRAPfrica Global is a Ghana-based NGO dedicated to empowering underprivileged African children through sports, IT development, and music training. Our mission is to provide children from

disadvantaged backgrounds with opportunities to discover their potential, fostering personal growth and career development.

By offering access to these essential programs, we aim to equip young minds with the skills, creativity, and confidence needed to thrive in today’s world.

Our Mission

The need for basic IT education in Africa is urgent. According to a UNICEF report, 2.2 billion children globally lack reliable internet access, crucial for acquiring IT skills. In sub-Saharan Africa, only 10-20% of children have access to basic IT education due to inadequate infrastructure, costly technology, and lack of trained teachers. In Ghana, although progress is being made, only about 28% of students have regular access to computers or internet facilities, with rural areas facing the biggest gaps. Recognizing these disparities, TRAPfrica is committed to bridging the digital divide by providing children

with essential IT training. Coupled with our sports and music programs, we aim to give young people the tools to break the cycle of poverty and succeed in today’s competitive global environment.

(LCDR) Commander Garnar Sutton

Distinguished Honorable (LCDR) Commander Garnar Sutton is a premier leader in the world. From 30 years of service in the United States Navy, to continued leadership and mentorship roles in post service business ventures, (LCDR) Commander Sutton has been a pillar of strength and advancement in his community.

As a strong advocate of the role cryptocurrency will play in the world, he continuously mentors the youth of the Black/African-American community on the necessity of acquiring both knowledge and assets in the space.

(LCDR) Commander Sutton has lent his service of strategic thinking and management to multiple companies. Increasing their efficiency and scalability through his many years of military expertise; many of which he spent as an instructor, teaching various disciplines from engineering to operational strategy. In his continued effort to make a positive impact on the world, Garnar has pledged $1000 dollars to the TRAPfrica Global NGO. His donation will help facilitate the investment of educational materials and programs on the African continent, starting with Ghana. Not only has (LCDR) Commander Sutton pledged monetary support, he has also pledged to offer his strategic expertise to amplify the impact of the NGO. In doing so, the next generation has a brighter future, due to the shining leadership of the decorated Honorable Commander Garnar Sutton.
