Our History
TRAPfrica Global is a Ghana-based Foundation dedicated to empowering underprivileged African children through sports, IT development, and music training. Our mission is to provide children from
disadvantaged backgrounds with opportunities to discover their potential, fostering personal growth and career development.
By offering access to these essential programs, we aim to equip young minds with the skills, creativity, and confidence needed to thrive in today’s world.
Our Mission
The need for basic IT education in Africa is urgent. According to a UNICEF report, 2.2 billion children globally lack reliable internet access, crucial for acquiring IT skills. In sub-Saharan Africa, only 10-20% of children have access to basic IT education due to inadequate infrastructure, costly technology, and lack of trained teachers. In Ghana, although progress is being made, only about 28% of students have regular access to computers or internet facilities, with rural areas facing the biggest gaps. Recognizing these disparities, TRAPfrica is committed to bridging the digital divide by providing children
with essential IT training. Coupled with our sports and music programs, we aim to give young people the tools to break the cycle of poverty and succeed in today’s competitive global environment.

TRAPfrica 2025 AMP School IT Clinic
On the 3rd of February 2025, TRAPfrica Global visited Apromase Methodist Primary School to
host an IT clinic, marking another milestone in their mission to bridge the digital divide in
underserved communities.
